Joe leads all of our interim and contract finance recruitment across the Yorkshire region.

Lives in Otley with his partner Fran and their cockerpoo Poppy. Joe spends lots of his time with both his own family and his in-laws.

You name it Joe has played it. Football in his youth, a snooker and pool champion in his teenage years, a keen boxing enthusiast and a single figure golfer playing off a career-low handicap of 6. Joe also played squash on a weekly basis until his knees started to give way. Also a keen skier, he is hoping his knees have a few more years in them before skiing goes the same way as his squash career. Joe also enjoys running and frequenting the gym which has slipped somewhat due to his equal love of food and wine!

Joes Story

I have worked in finance recruitment for the past nine years – I spent the placement year of my degree working in an international recruitment business. This gave me the taste and I came back to the same business after graduating. Since then, my career has evolved towards my current role as a Director at Pratap Partnership, leading all aspects of our interim offering across the senior finance and executive market. My career has included:

  • Three years with an international recruitment PLC with a focus on non-qualified finance across Yorkshire. Three years heading up a practice division for a PE-backed national recruitment business, building relationships across Big 4, Top 10 and other top accountancy firms, as well as corporate finance houses and other professional services.
  • The last three years, solely focusing on senior finance interim and executive recruitment across the whole of Yorkshire.

I graduated with a first-class degree in Law and Business from Bradford University’s School of Management and flirted with a career in Law after interning at a number of top-tier law firms, before finding myself in the recruitment world by chance.

Recruitment suited my entrepreneurial background, and after receiving top quality training from HAYS, I was lucky to work with a number of fantastic businesses where I was able to further develop and increase my presence within the senior finance market across Yorkshire.

I began my career with Nik, Gillian, Nicola and Elise in 2011, and cannot be more excited to be working with them again.
