Karen was born in London, moved to Singapore when young and then returned to Doncaster before settling in Sheffield. She is married to Philip with a teenage daughter, Paige

Karen is a firm advocate of health and well being spending time walking (when the weather is warm/nice) at the gym, swimming and attending yoga classes.

Karen enjoys spending time with friends, going to the cinema, eating out etc. Her favourite drink of choice is chilled Sauvignon Blanc!!!!!
Karen's Story
I have worked in the recruitment industry for over 20 years and have focused primarily on the following areas:
- Recruiting non-qualified and part-qualified finance staff across South Yorkshire for small independent specialist finance recruitment consultancies – working in the private sector, from SMEs to corporates
- A focus on temporary recruitment – placing candidates into interim, contract and temp to perm finance roles
- Recruitment campaigns for multiple opportunities and for roles that are especially ‘hard-to-fill’
I started my recruitment career in 1998 working for Sewell Moorhouse. I built the temp desk up from a start-up to being one of the top performing desks. I loved the demands of being a Temp Controller; being reactive and filling the jobs quickly. Having gained the trust and respect of clients & candidates I succeeded in building my reputation across South Yorkshire.
I joined Brewster Pratap in 2014, specialising in permanent recruitment from the Sheffield office. This was an easy transition having worked with most of the people there and still working for valued clients & candidates. This was where I met Nik for the first time. We worked very well together from the outset and were successful in winning several pitches for some large well-known organisations in South Yorkshire. I enjoyed working with him and always found him to be very professional and extremely fair as a manager.
I am looking forward to working with the team again. They are all very experienced in the areas they cover, are well known and have excellent reputations in the recruitment industry.
