Reflecting on the experience & lessons of our first 8 weeks

The past two months have been intense, exciting and have just flown by!


After 6 months of not working and being out of recruitment, we were all ready to launch our new business with a huge amount of energy, pride & enthusiasm. We were well prepared for all of the hard work but we have been taken aback with how much support we have received from the market…. and how many results we have already achieved.


Our partners share a number of attributes: a real love for the recruitment industry, the finance sector in Yorkshire and placing high value in every personal relationship. It is even more special in developing these relationships when you are a company owner – rewarding for us and for our clients, who benefit from the extra energy and pride we give. We will always be indebted to every client who has given us an opportunity to work on, passed us referrals and shared our LinkedIn adverts & posts in these early weeks of our business.


Our client strategy has been simple – we work with the employers we want to work with. This is sometimes where there has been an historic relationship but also where there is a new introduction or where there is a real opportunity for us to add value. We have been working with FTSE 250 companies, Big 4 practices, PE houses, independent firms, SMEs and entrepreneurs. Opportunities have ranged from exciting jobs to lead growth and plan an exit to fighting to save a turnaround, and from director level to junior management – a totally eclectic mixture which has been a thrilling challenge to manage.


We have placed nearly 20 candidates in our first 8 weeks (which we don’t mind saying, is way above our original expectation!), we have secured 5 retained campaigns and have run branded advertising campaigns with Shark Ninja, Broker Network and SimplyBiz. We have also built a video campaign microsite product and have already signed up 2 clients with fantastic employer branding to feature – these will both go live during June.


We are so proud of what we have created and very excited about the future. Our rules for what we do next are;
