Running fanatic who is now happily on the downhill slope of his physical ambitions (after completing the London Marathon in 2018 – slow time….but it was hot!). Sheffield Half Marathon (5th time) is the next on the list - scheduled for March 2020

Just about still plays football but long since retired from everything else. Avid watcher of sports with the 5-1 England win against Germany in Munich in 2002, Frank Bruno beating Oliver McCall at Wembley in 1995 and England beating Australia on the final day at Edgbaston in 2005 being highlights.

Nik Pratap's Story
I have been in financial recruitment since 1999, undertaking various roles throughout my career including National Director for Senior Finance for an international Plc,and equity partner for a privately invested recruitment company leading the specialist finance team. I have managed and developed the relationships with key clients and partners across all the different roles I have undertaken.
A graduate in Theology from Durham University , I trained with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Sheffield.
PWC provided me with my enthusiasm for the accountancy sector and the foundations for a great network. It was a logical move to Hays where I received some of the best training in recruitment and the opportunity to work with some outstanding individuals. I initially recruited part-qualified accountants in the North West before moving to Yorkshire where my career took me to a level where I headed up the Senior Finance division for the UK and Ireland. Recognising that career progression within a corporate will often mean a move away from the more hands-on aspects of the job that I love, I moved to a privately invested, local recruitment business to grow it and to head up the accountancy specialism.
Setting up Pratap Partnership is the proudest achievement of my career. The fact that Nicola, Gillian, Elise and I have all worked for the same two employers beforehand says everything about the shared values and standards we have. We share the same values, standards and love for what we do – providing a top quality service to all of our clients and candidates.
